In November 2022, Banksy created seven new murals across the war-torn nation of Ukraine, with works appearing from Kyiv to Borodianka.

One mural, depicting a man scrubbing his back in a bathtub, was painted on the ground floor of what remains of an apartment block destroyed in a Russian attack in March in Horenka, northwest of Kyiv. Once on the front line where Russia’s assault on the capital was halted, the ruined building became the canvas for one of the seven works Banksy confirmed creating in Ukraine.
