'Umbrella Rat' features a rat resembling a businessman, holding an umbrella and a briefcase while gazing up at the sky, awaiting something. Banksy's characteristic stencil technique is employed in this artwork of the rat motif which is used in his artworks to symbolise the masses or working class. Upon reflecting on his use of rats, Banksy expresses his fantasy of the powerless uniting and rising up together, envisioning a scenario where the underground emerges to challenge and transform the city.
