Trolleys
2006
Print on Paper

First released at Banksy’s landmark Barely Legal exhibition in Los Angeles, Trolleys depicts hunters confronting shopping carts instead of wild animals. This stark juxtaposition critiques consumerism, framing the supermarket trolley as the modern object of pursuit and survival.
The work was part of the Barely Legal print set six provocative editions (Trolleys, Applause, Festival, Sale Ends, Morons, and Grannies) each sold for just $500 at the time. Today, these prints stand as defining examples of Banksy’s sharp satire on capitalism and culture.
