In this work, Banksy sets the elaborate movements of police officers against the frantic scrawl of a stick man on the run. The contrast is both visually striking and satirically charged. The stick figure, drawn with disarming simplicity, becomes a caricature of the ordinary person, underscoring the absurdity of such disproportionate pursuits.

By parodying the so-called “heroic” efforts of police chasing street artists or indeed any individual Banksy exposes the imbalance of power and questions the use of authority in public space. The work transforms a childlike figure into a symbol of resistance and ridicule.
