Norwegian electronic duo Röyksopp released their debut album Melody A.M. on the UK label Wall of Sound. To promote it, a double LP edition was produced in an exceptionally limited run of just 100 hand-numbered copies each featuring a cover hand-sprayed by Banksy.

Created directly at Wall of Sound’s London offices, the covers were individually stencilled, making each one unique. The edition was split into two variations: the first 50 copies sprayed in dark green, the remaining 50 in a paler olive tone. Today, this rare promotional release is prized not only by Röyksopp fans but also as an early and important example of Banksy’s crossover into music culture, fusing underground electronic music with the subversive energy of street art at the turn of the millennium.
